Stephen Bojekian was charged after a search of his Franklin Lakes home on Thursday, Oct. 17, according to Bergen County Mark Musella.
Investigators found that Bojekian "used the Internet to view, download, and possess items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children," Musella said.
He has been charged with third-degree possession of child pornography and lodged in the Morris County Jail.
Bojekian's LinkedIn page shows he worked for the county from August 1978 to December 2004. In 2005, he joined the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police examination board, conducting entry-level and promotional exams across the state, his LinkedIn says.
Bojekian now works as a private investigator, according to his bio on the NJLPIA website.
